Madrugada (short extracts)
After graduating with a BA in Film Directing from the Arts Institute at Bournemouth, Michael Pearce won the prestigious David Lean Scholarship to attend the National Film and Television School in 2006. His graduation film, 'Madrugada', won Top Prize at the Jersey International Festival in 2009, as well as the Royal Television Society Award for Best Short film.
2011 marked the release of 'Rite', a tense and compelling short film funded by the UK Film Council, which was nominated for a BAFTA for Best Short, and went on to win Best Film in the Long Form category at Rushes Soho Film Festival. Following these impressive accolades, Screen International named Michael one of their Stars of Tomorrow. We predict big things to come from this poignant and promising talent.
