BBC Lifestyle 'Eric Lanlard'
Fergus O'Brien has been making intimate, visually arresting and critically acclaimed documentaries for all of the UK's major broadcasters for ten years. He is perhaps best known for his cult BBC2 series 'The Armstrongs', which won Televisual Magazine's Best Factual Series Award in 2007, and which The Observer described as "one of the most peculiar TV series ever made".
Fergus also directed two films for BBC4's popular series Waiting Room, entitled 'Prison' and 'Nail Bar', for which The Guardian wrote "Fergus O'Brien could find gems anywhere and with this beautifully observed, lovely film about a unique slice of Britishness, he's also made one." Fergus has since directed promotional campaigns and trailers for BBC Lifestyle and Channel 4's 'Seven Days'.
